apparently the world as we know it will end may 15th when planet nibiru / marduk passes so close to our earth that an apocalypse will occur.
it last passed by when the noachian flood occurred.

those of you who follow news of phenomena and the fringe of science probably know what i'm talking about - the mysterious planet x is supposed to collide with earth on may 15th.. strangely enough, no astronomer anywhere can detect the approaching planet.
the reason is simple - it isn't there.. as the ides of may approach, life on planet earth goes on, and shall go on.

The 'Progress of materialist Humanity' Line stays fairly flat, just bobbing up and down a little all century until it hits 2004 and totally drops down off the scale in an instant! "....
Well apparently the Great Pyramid of Giza predicts the arrival of planet Nibiru in May 2003. Gods "Stone Bible" couldnt be wrong could it??

Quit Picking On Us; We're Faithful Prophets
by onacruse injehovah s faithful people on earth publicly emphasized the importance of the dates 1914 and 1918 and 1925. they had much to say about these dates and what would come to pass, but not all they predicted came to pass.
the predictions, as to the dates, were correct, but what came to pass could not be fully seen in advance.
the failure to come to pass of some of the things predicted has afforded satans agents in christendom, particularly the clergy and the man of sin, an opportunity to ridicule and reproach the faithful servants of the most high god, and to say of and concerning them and their published statements: all their visions and predictions have failed; and such proves that they are all wrong, and that all their predictions for the future must fail.

"if they are in error, then it isn't the "truth"
Brother. It IS the "truth". It is "present truth". Truth as understood at this moment in history. It is as close to 'truth' as imperfect men can behold. The Lord does not lie, but never forget, He deals with imperfect men. His prophets are imperfect men, and they misapprehend His spirit messages as he communicates to them. Their enthusiasm. Their great zeal. Their earnest desire to see an end to wickedness as soon as possible, taints their understanding of His communications to them. They are mere imperfect men and, to a degree, they 'see' what they wish to see. Jehovah forgives them for this because they are very earnest for the Lord and long for his coming. These imperfect men do not finally SEE until the prophetic events are fullfilled in the real world. Then they see their misapprehensions clearly.

there were other statements published that implied that such realization of hopes by that year was more of a probability than a mere possibility
Well, they purged the writing department, and chopped that apostate Ray Franz, so the publishing of expectation generating statements wont happen again. The brothers are safe now.

What Do The English & Australians Think Of Americans On This Board???
by minimus init seems to me that this board's force comes mainly from our english and aussie friends.
i've read comments that some have gotten annoyed that the society and gb seem to only stress the "american" english in their style of writing.
i'm just curious as to what you think of your american brethren.

both books are to be studied before baptism.. so, what are the 'new recruits' learning?.
this is the first of a series of posts selecting "highlights" from each chapter.

The dead saints must have been resurrected in 1918 cause the Witnesses commenced the preaching work in 1919.
Babylon must have fallen in the spring of 1919 cause Rutherford was released from jail.
How could Rutherford be released from jail if the org was still enslaved to Babylon? He couldnt. The fact he was released was a sure indicator that Babylon had fallen, not completely, but it had commenced to fall. Its influence had fallen somewhat. Its water commenced to begin to "dry up".
Sheesh, I should work for the WT writing department....

Now if Christs Kingdom was established October 22, 1914. The furthest extent of a Biblical generation is 80 years, which brings us to October 22, 1994. The November 1 Issue of the WT is the next issue after that to reveal the new light, but why was it the November 1 1995 Issue, instead of November 1 1994 issue?
